After his release from Derbyshire, Nick joined Leicestershire on trial and after some impressive performances was awarded a full time contract with the County. Walker was also quick to make his mark on the first team as he he picked up a brilliant career best 4-26 in front of the Sky TV camera's in the Pro40 Match v Somerset at Grace Road. He also broke into the Championship side and once again claimed career best figures of 5-59 against Somerset..again! Nick is a very useful batsmen and can hit the ball a long way and should play a big part in all forms of cricket in 2007.
