Jermaine joined Leicestershire for the start of 2008 as a Kolpak player to spearhead the pace bowling attack with Garnett Kruger. The 26 year old had an explosive start to his West Indies test career, picking up a har-trick and taking 7-78 versus Australia. His international career has grinded to a halt over the last couple of years though, after reports to the ICC regarding his bowling action, which he was cleared of but he has now re-modelled his action and he is said to be bowling as fast as ever. Having picked up 51 wickets in just 13 test matches for the West Indies, he could prove to be a gem of a signing.
