The Welshman earned a contract with Leicestershire in 2006 after a successful trial spell. Formerly with Cardiff UCCE and Somerset Second XI, Dan showed much promise last season by picking up his first five wicket haul and also smashing a great 85. Rowe is highly rated by former Foxes star Charles Dagnall, who said of him, 'He bowls a heavy ball and is a good all rounder. I think with a bit more time under Boony (Tim Boon) and the other coaches and he could be a very solid cricketer. Nice guy too, if quiet!'
