Although not a household name, 30 year old Dippenaar's signing as Leicestershire's overseas player for 2008 finally answered the need for a specialist international batsman in the Foxes line up. Boeta is highly experienced at international level for South Africa having played in 107 One-Day internationals and 38 Test matches and should score plenty of runs for the County over the course of the season. He boasts a one-day and first class batting average of over 42 in each form of the game and alot of expectation will fall on his shoulders with the Foxes fragile batting line up.
